IN SEPTEMBER 2019, BRANDS HAD A LITTLE FUN WITH THE “DON’T HAVE A BOOKMARK?” MEME
I was fascinated by the executions of the meme done by Chex Mix and Vitamin Water on Twitter, so of course, I had to pitch an idea for it to OREO. Within hours, we were able to execute and post the idea.
Originally, I had thought to just shove some OREO cookies into a self-help book that I wasn’t fond of. But you can’t have OREO’s without milk, so I asked the photographer I was working with (Kevin Kuehl) to get a little creative with the execution.
Controversies aside from Random House and several book-lovers, it ended up being OREO’s top-performing Tweet since the well-known “You can still dunk in the dark” Tweet several Super Bowls ago.
